Director of Business Development – Canadian Adventure Charters Inc. (CAC)

About the Role: Canadian Adventure Charters (CAC) is seeking a results–driven and visionary leader to serve as our Director of Business Development. At CAC, we specialize in ultra–exclusive bespoke expeditions aboard our state–of–the–art Research Explorer Ice–Class Vessel, Submersibles, Helicopters, Landing Crafts, and Sherps, catering to ultra–high–net–worth individuals (UHNWI), Fortune 500 corporations, family offices, our superyacht and megayacht clients, and government entities. We are looking for a dynamic professional with a proven track record of securing high–value contracts, driving innovation, and building global networks. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker, a hands–on leader, and an industry expert with the capability to navigate the complex intersection of luxury adventure tourism, marine research, and elite networking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute high–level business development strategies to position CAC as a global leader in luxury marine exploration and research.
  • Partnership Development: Establish and cultivate relationships with UHNWI, Fortune 500 companies, family offices, private Investment firms, government entities, and key stakeholders in marine, aviation, expedition, adventure tourism and scientific research industries
  • High–Stakes Contract Negotiation: Secure contracts ranging from $50M to $10B USD, leveraging extensive networks in venture capital investment, marine insurance, and financial institutions.
  • Expedition & Operations Oversight: Oversee the execution of elite, history–making expeditions to the world's most remote and breathtaking destinations.
  • Technology & Innovation Integration: Leverage expertise in IT, AI, geomatics, and advanced marine technologies to enhance operational efficiencies and client experiences.
  • Government & Private Sector Procurement: Lead the preparation, presentation, and winning of bids, tenders, and sustainable development contracts across multiple sectors.

Required Expertise & Qualifications:

  • Marine & Aviation Operations: Extensive experience in marine vessel and deep–sea submersible logistics, as well as aviation operations including helicopters, hot air balloons, Sherps, ROVs, and drones.
  • International Trade & Policy: Deep understanding of Canadian and international trade associations, regulatory frameworks, and government procurement.
  • Engineering & Infrastructure Development: Background in MEGA port and marine infrastructure development, including luxury marinas, research laboratories, and tourism ventures.
  • Ocean & Environmental Science: Expertise in ocean engineering, climate change research, and marine conservation initiatives.
  • Global Media & Entertainment Collaborations: Experience working with organizations such as National Geographic, BBC Wildlife, Paramount Pictures, Warner Brothers, Disney and Netflix
  • Academic & Professional Credentials: Advanced degrees in maritime law, CPA, MBA, Ph.D., and Chief of Engineering certifications preferred.
