Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant (preference to those with Oral Surgery experience) to join our dynamic dental specialty practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our specialty office. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the oral surgern or dental specialist during procedures, manage patient records, and help create a welcoming environment for our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the doctor during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the doctor.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area according to infection control protocols.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including billing and insurance verification.

Skills

  • Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures, with experience in oral surgery being a plus.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
