**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Custom Cabinet Construction**: Build and assemble high-end custom cabinets to exact specifications, ensuring precision and attention to detail in every piece.
- **Material Selection & Handling**: Select, measure, and cut materials such as wood, veneer, and laminate with extreme accuracy. Ensure proper finishing and quality control standards are maintained throughout the process.
- **Tool Proficiency**: Operate a variety of woodworking tools, including but not limited to saws (table, band, miter, etc.), routers, planers, sanders, and drills. Familiarity with CNC machinery is a plus.
- **Blueprint Interpretation**: Read and interpret architectural and design blueprints to accurately translate designs into finished products. Ensure the finished cabinets meet all specifications, measurements, and design elements.
- **Quality Control**: Inspect all completed work for defects or inconsistencies. Address any issues promptly and ensure that the finished product meets the high standards expected of custom high-end cabinetry.
- **Time Management & Deadlines**: Plan, organize, and execute work efficiently, ensuring timely completion of cabinet pieces to meet installation deadlines. Manage workload to avoid delays and maintain smooth workflow.
- **Collaboration & Communication**: Work closely with project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure the smooth progress of projects. Provide input on improvements in design, materials, and processes when necessary.
- **Safety Standards**: Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment, both for yourself and fellow team members.
- **Cabinet Installation (Optional)**: If skilled in cabinet installation, assist with the installation of completed cabinetry in residential or commercial settings. Ensure proper fitting, alignment, and functionality of all pieces during installation.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- **Experience**: Minimum 5 years of experience in custom cabinet making or a related field, specializing in high-end cabinetry.
- **Attention to Detail**: A keen eye for precision and a commitment to flawless craftsmanship.
- **Tool Expertise**: In-depth knowledge of all tools required for custom cabinet construction, including power tools, hand tools, and machinery (CNC, saws, routers, etc.).
- **Time Management**: Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong troubleshooting skills to address any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process.
- **Communication Skills**: Ability to clearly communicate with team members and clients to ensure expectations are met and problems are addressed.
- **Physical Stamina**: Ability to lift and move heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform other physically demanding tasks as needed.
- **Installation Experience (preferred)**: Experience with cabinet installation, including proper fitting, securing, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Certification or apprenticeship in cabinetmaking, carpentry, or woodworking.
- Familiarity with advanced techniques and technology in custom cabinetry, including CNC machinery.
- Experience with high-end residential or commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of different wood types, finishes, and construction methods.
