At Scotiabank, we’re passionate about bringing our whole selves to work, allowing us to create inclusive work environments for everyone to enjoy. **Purpose** Contributes to the overall success of the Infrastructure & Financial Sponsors, Corporate Banking team ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. **Accountabilities**: - Assists with the execution of transactions, including: (i) preparation/review/analysis of term sheets, financial models, (ii) structuring, analytic functions and due diligence activities, and, (iii) ultimately assisting with the closing and monitoring of transactions. - Assists with the preparation of credit presentations in accordance with Bank policy, risk assessments and developing recommendations for appropriate courses of action. Monitors client reporting and raises any concerns on a timely basis. - Assists in the marketing of a range of credit/lending products and services to corporate and/or institutional clients. - Expands industry and product knowledge while developing relationships with colleagues in GRM and other product areas within GBM. - Undertakes all activities in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, and adheres to all day-to-day business controls including in respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. - Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. **Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have**: - Recent grad with less than 2 years of work experience - Undergraduate business degree, MBA, CFA or other relevant professional designation - Strong analytical reading, written and verbal communication skills - Good existing Excel and financial modelling skills - Financial accounting knowledge - Excellent organizational and presentation skills - Promotes cooperation, teamwork, and professional internal and external relationships **Working Conditions** - Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
