**Job Title**: Electronics Repair Receptionist
**Job Summary**: The Electronics Repair Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for customers at our electronics repair shop. This role involves managing the front desk, handling customer inquiries, performing over the counter diagnosis for devices and providing estimates based on the diagnosis, scheduling repair appointments, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Greet and Welcome Customers**: Warmly greet customers as they enter the shop and provide a friendly and professional first impression.
- **Appointment Scheduling**: Schedule and manage repair work orders, ensuring efficient use of technician time and resources.
- **Administrative Tasks**: Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining customer records.
- **Payment Processing**: Handle customer payments, issue receipts, and manage cash transactions.
- **Inventory Management**: Assist in tracking and ordering office supplies, repair parts and tools as needed.
- **Customer Service**: Address customer concerns and complaints, providing solutions or escalating issues to the appropriate personnel. Asking probing questions to better understand customer issues and gather as much information as possible.
- **Maintain Cleanliness**: Ensure the shop is tidy and presentable and is cleaned and vacuumed once a week.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is preferred.
- **Skills**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, basic knowledge of computers, phones and other consumer electronics. Such as the ability to differentiate and identify the different phones, tablets, computers and video game consoles. Familiarity with Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android operating systems. Having an analytical mindset with the ability to pay great attention to detail and troubleshoot customer issues based on the information provided.
- **Attributes**: Friendly, organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Able to take detailed notes and enter data with a high degree of accuracy simultaneously while talking to the customer.
**Working Conditions**:
- **Hours**: Full-time, with weekend shifts as needed.
- **Environment**: Office setting within an electronics repair shop.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
