Dance Teacher

*Please note that dance experience is required; ballroom dance experience is an asset but not required. We will provide ballroom dance syllabus training.

Artistica Ballroom Dance Studio is an independently owned and operated studio driven by a collective love of dance. At Artistica, we put a focus on increasing the confidence of everyone who walks through the door, teaching people to connect to their bodies, minds, partners and community through the power of dance. We care about our clients and continue to push ourselves to make a bigger difference in each and every one of their lives.

We’ve been in business for 7 years with our 3 owner/operator/instructors, and are now looking to add a new dance teacher who carries the same passion for dance that we do to the team.

As an instructor at Artistica, you will be teaching adults (both couples and individuals) in private and group class settings. You will continuously improve your competency in American Style Smooth, American Style Rhythm and Social dance styles as required to meet the needs of your students and the studio. You may compete with amateur students in pro-am ballroom competitions and/ or coach amateur couples looking to compete. You may also represent the studio in various community dance events such as Easter Seals Dancing with the Stars. Some administrative functions will be required such as processing payments, answering phones, and managing schedules (as examples).

**Responsibilities**:

- Teach Smooth, Rhythm & Social dance to adults
- Choreograph routines for studio spotlight dances, weddings, competitions, etc
- Perform with students and participate in Pro-Am competitions
- Represent Artistica in community events and competitions
- Participate in studio events such as dance parties, showcases
- Assist with administrative functions of the studio, as required
- Love dance to their core
- Have dance experience from any discipline (i.e. Ballroom, Latin, Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, etc )
- Enjoy teaching and coaching others with the ability to adapt methods to meet the students needs
- Be comfortable working with adults of all ages
- Be eager to learn and continuously improve themselves
- Be a self-motivated, team player who enthusiastically embraces and upholds the Artistica culture and community
- Have their own transportation
- Commit to a minimum two year position (if ballroom specific training is required)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $15.50-$40.00 per hour
