Mantles Bartender

**Role Proposition**:
Mantles Restaurant & Lounge, located in the lower lobby of the Sun Peaks Grand and in the heart of the village core, welcomes hotel guests, visitors to Sun Peaks Resort and the local community alike. Throughout the dining and lounge spaces the team works to responsibly cultivate a mountain of taste, care, and memories.

Bartenders play two vital roles in the dining room and lounge. Under the direction of the Bar Supervisor the bartenders prepare drink orders for restaurant guests and are responsible for the delivery of service in the lounge. Behind the bar, the bartending team produce drinks to a high level of quality, consistently and in a matter of minutes. They are adept multi-taskers, producing drinks for the restaurant, whilst accommodating guests sitting at the bar and lounge.

Bartenders ensure that guests’ needs are anticipated and that their experience is truly effortless. They work with the rest of the FOH team, and the culinary team to ensure that an exceptional guest experience is delivered and maintained across the service, whilst also caring for, contributing to, and nurturing a positive workplace culture.

**Accountabilities**:

- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to a high quality, consistently and promptly for the dining room and lounge
- Help contribute to the success of the bar’s cocktail program
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
- Restock the bar as needed, communicate ordering needs to the Bar Lead
- Assist with the putting away of orders from suppliers
- Ensure bar is set-up and closed down according to check lists
- Responsible for service in the Lounge, deliver exceptional guest experience from seating through to billing by following the standards of service
- Anticipate guest needs throughout the dining experience from drink refreshes through to prompt billing
- Use the POS system to send guest orders to the kitchen and bar, and to bill guests
- Maintain a clean, tidy and well-presented section and contribute to the overall cleanliness of the restaurant on a shift-by-shift basis
- Prompt and accurate cashing out at the end of service
- Ensures operational Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
- Acts as an ambassador for Sun Peaks Resort & Sun Peaks Grand Hotel
- Willing to assist other Food & Beverage operations within the hotel and perform any other duties as necessary
- Passionate about the mountains and skiing & snowboarding
- Previous bartending experience, 1-2 years
- Cocktail knowledge and experience
- Serving it Right Certification
- Micros POS system experience
- Excellent food and wine knowledge
- Ability to work as a team and demonstrate initiative
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
- Dedicated to working within a dynamic team that focuses on collaboration and guest experience
- Must be available to work various shifts, including availability on weekends
- Required to lift heavy objects safely such as kegs and gas cylinders, up to 20lbs
