**The Opportunity**:
Red River Co-op is recruiting a **Facilities Manager**to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, the Facilities Manager adds value to our Co-operative by ensuring our locations are safe, efficient, and aligned with our organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:

- Maintain and oversee all major Co-op assets (buildings, equipment) by ensuring proper documentation, required inspections, ongoing maintenance, standardized processes, checklists, and compliance with operational standards.
- Develop and implement facilities best practices, procedures, and service systems to improve capacities and increase customer service.
- Coordinate all maintenance of HVAC, grounds, lighting systems, fire safety systems, and other equipment at our sites, and maximize the potential of Nova Star.
- Coordinate, contract, award, manage, and administer all maintenance contracts, including warranty audits of recent installations.
- Investigate current contracts and seek opportunities for financial savings.
- Maintain approved contractor program documents.
- Manage one full-time Maintenance Technician, oversee daily tasks, and implement checklists.
- Complete minor repairs whenever possible.
- Document and report hazards, implement immediate corrective actions when possible, and ensure preventive measures are in place.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

- Education in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with refrigeration, pumps, motors, valves, and hydraulic systems is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in operations, facility management and project management.
