Assistant Grocery Manager

We are seeking an motivated Assistant Grocery Manager to join our team at our small grocery store in Toronto. The Assistant Grocery Manager will work closely with the owners to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the store.

The responsibilites of the Assistant Grocery Manager include:

- Overseeing the daily operations of the grocery department, including ordering and receiving of inventory, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and visually appealing store
- Manage and train a team of grocery clerks to ensure exceptional customer service and product knowledge
- Ensure that all products are properly priced, labeled, and rotated, and that all products are stocked to meet customer demand
- Assist with inventory management and control, including regular inventory counts and ordering of products as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to health and safety standards at all times
- Assist with the preparation of schedules for the grocery department to ensure proper coverage during peak times
- Provide support to the owner as needed

**Requirements**:

- 2-3 years of experience in a grocery store environment, with a proven track record of success in a supervisory or management role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team and provide exceptional customer service
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

**Salary**: From $38,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Retail management: 1 year (preferred)
