A family-run kennel since 1956, we are looking for regular part-time help. This is a position for someone who wants to work with animals and is not afraid of hard work. We are looking for the right fit, this is paramount Someone who will be here on a consistent basis and wants to commit and develop a relationship with the dogs. If you are looking to try this out until something better comes along, you need not apply This is a job with people who have been devoted to their passion for over 65 years.

You will be responsible for the general care and well-being of the dogs. Our new assistant will be able to follow instructions, take initiative and above all else - have experience with dogs We are looking for someone to attend daily - a couple of hours in the morning and then again for an hour or so in the evening. Hours may vary.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Letting dogs out of the kennel building into their outside runs
- Feeding and watering of all dogs in their outside runs
- General cleaning/maintenance of both outside runs and kennel buildings.
- Pen sweeping, power washing of outside areas in the summer.
- Snow shoveling in the winter.
- Washing of water and food bowls.

**Please note that our duties are performed during all kinds of weather**

Qualifications:

- Previous professional experience in animal care, especially dogs
- Driver's licence and have own car - not able to get to location via public transit
- Ability to lift dogs and items (Such as food) of up to 50 lbs
