**Job Summary**:
For the crating of goods for shipping the position will also involve organizing of components through the shop, general maintenance of tools and equipment and managing an inventory of lumber and related supplies to ensure products can be transported at any time.

**Job Duties**:
Responsible for safe crating of machines and components, closely working with Assembly and Logistics are essential.
Ensure safety standards and best practices are used at all times, and personal protective equipment (PPE) is used.
Ensure skids/crates are built to support loads being transported.
Order and maintaining an inventory of lumber and related supplies.
Position will require regular loading and unloading of shipments. Forklift experience an asset.
Maintain cleanliness, contain sawdust and minimize waste in and around the crating area.
Ensure maintenance and functioning of tools in the crating area.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Other duties in the shipping and shop area, as assigned.

**Requirements**:
Experience with crate building for transport of light to heavy goods.
Understanding of building techniques to support heavy loads.
Minimum high school education or equivalent required.
