Estimated 5-25 hours biweekly with additional full-day shifts as required

IDEA Lab Kids is a STEAM-focused enrichment center offering innovative hands-on learning experiences for children ages 5-12. From science and engineering to coding and robotics, we inspire creativity and critical thinking through project-based programs delivered in a fun, supportive environment.

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Daytime STEAM Instructor to lead all non-preschool daytime programs. This includes:

- Biweekly homeschool workshops
- Full-day PD Day camps
- In-house school field trips
- On-the-go school workshops

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible part-time hours during weekdays, who is passionate about working with children and delivering engaging STEM experiences.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead all daytime STEAM programs (excluding preschool)
- Deliver engaging, hands-on activities for children ages 5-12
- Set up and clean up materials and learning space
- Maintain a fun, safe, inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate with parents, teachers, and coworkers
- Travel to local schools/community spaces for workshops when needed
- Represent IDEA Lab Kids professionally in all settings

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Confident teaching or facilitating programs solo
- Reliable and adaptable with a flexible daytime schedule
- Passionate about science, tech, and creative learning
- Strong classroom management and communication skills

**Preferred Experience**:

- Experience working with children in camps, classrooms, or similar
- Background, or interest, in science, education, or technology
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certification (Level 1, 2, or 3) is an asset
- Comfortable teaching in various environments (in-centre and off-site)

**Requirements**:

- First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Access to reliable transportation (preferred)
- Available to occasionally instruct full daytime camps (single day camps, holiday break camps)

**Compensation**:
Additional compensation may be considered based on experience, availability, or certifications, such as ECE Level 1, 2, or 3.
