Production Lead Hand

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Leading daily huddles
- Morning machine checks - Batching is working & regular machine operation
- Verify production schedule and where we are on the schedule
- Verify mix design
- Run the machine make adjustments where necessary
- Organize dry side, look at what is coming out and prepare the outside driver
- Pre enter/setup dpr for all work centers
- Height checks, moisture checks, density checks every half hour to 1 hour depending on the check
- Operate the machine
- Set up of other work centers
- Training new employees on the machine
- Weekly tool box
- Monthly general safety meeting
- Order cement/Flyash for Rekers & Besser. Orders white cement
- Weekly downtime meetings with the Supervisor
- Verify shop travelers and mix design for both shifts
- Organize the team for cleanup
- Organize workers daily duties
- Loto checks with the employees
- ensure all workspaces are kept clean and organized (house keeping)
- ensure Oldcastle safety policies and procedures are strictly adhered to
- Ensure that all machines are covered for staffing during breaks, etc
- Review and evaluate, and ensure proper completion of FLHA for all areas of the plant

**Abilities**:

- 3-5 years of leadership experience
- Must have own reliable means of transportation as public transportation is not available
- Must be available to work day and afternoon shifts

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
