Program Coordinator: Mentoring for Young Adults

Youth HQ is seeking a highly motivated Program Coordinator to assist in the development, implementation, facilitation, monitoring, and evaluation of an exciting and innovative new program that will match mentors with young adults (ages 18-24) who are transitioning out of care and into independence.

The successful applicant will be responsible for matching volunteer mentors with young adults, assisting to identify and recruit new mentors, assessing individual needs and goals, providing on-going support and guidance to the mentoring relationships, establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with various community agencies, and continuing to grow and develop the program within Central Alberta.
- Minimum of two-year diploma in a human services field
- Minimum of one year experience in a related position
- Knowledge of Indigenous Culture would be an asset
- Strong public relations and marketing skills
- Excellent program development and facilitation skills
- Experience in documentation, interviewing, and administrative functions
- Volunteer management experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and maintain a database system
- Class 5 Drivers License and access to a vehicle (Class 4 or willingness to attain would be an asset)
- Successful completion of agency enrollment process including Criminal and Intervention Record Checks

This is a 37.5 hours per week, full time position.

Wage: $19.56 to $21.57 per hour
