**Summary of the role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with site preparation, including clearing, leveling, and setting up materials and tools.
- Support tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, electricians, plumbers) by providing tools, materials, and labor.
- Perform minor construction tasks such as basic carpentry, masonry, and finishing work as directed.
- Operate small machinery and tools, such as drills, saws, and mixers, while following safety guidelines.
- Load, unload, and move construction materials around the site.
- Perform site clean-up and disposal of debris to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in erecting scaffolding, temporary supports, and other site structures.
- Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Skilled Labourer in construction (preferably in new builds).
- Familiarity with construction tools, machinery, and materials.
- Basic knowledge of construction techniques and methods.
- Ability to read and follow site plans and instructions.
- Physically fit and capable of handling demanding manual labor.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Safety-conscious with knowledge of health and safety practices on construction sites.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required).

Preferred Qualifications:

- **1-2 years of experience** in a similar or related field.
- Certification or training in construction-related skills (e.g., carpentry, masonry, or equipment operation) is an asset but not mandatory.
- **First Aid/CPR certification** is preferred.
- WHMIS and/or other safety certifications are required or preferred, depending on the location.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
