Job description

**Job purpose**
As a key member of the production team the General Plant Relief is responsible for the following but not limited to; relieving employees in all areas of production. Additionally, they will warrant safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees.

Duties and responsibilities
- Relieve employees and perform all tasks for the position.
- Cover position for employees either on vacation and/or leave of absence.
- Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment.
- Supplying all pertinent documents and reports, as may be required by management or the government, in an accurate and legible format.
- Report to Manager/Supervisor immediately of any food safety and/or quality issues (ie foreign materials, sanitation issues, health & safety issues, etc).
- Ensure compliance with GMP, Food Safety, Quality Regulations, SOPs and other pertinent policies, procedures and legislation.
- Maintain a safe work area and support health & safety programs.
- Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas.
- Take on additional duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Good reading, communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Good mathematical, mechanical aptitude, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to identify, problem solve and research alternatives within the scope of the job.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and in a team based environment.
- Additional experience, training or education asset.

**Salary**: From $26.33 per hour

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: From $27.85 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
