**About the Role**

The Health Care Aide (HCA) reports to the Director of Care and/or designate and provides person

served holistic and quality care. The HCA at our communities is an integral member of the team,

performing their role in accordance with established polices and procedures, while maintaining

the rights of residents and ensuring they are treated with respect and dignity.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Graduate from a recognized Care Aide Program.
- An active registration with the British Columbia Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
- Food Safe Level 1 Certificate an asset.
- Medication Administration Certification an asset.
- Previous experience in a long term care facility an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care.
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently and understand verbal and written instructions.
- All successful applicants must pass the vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check applicable to Provincial guidelines.
- Must be in good health, physically able to perform repetitive tasks, lift, squat, bend, stand and walk as required to perform the duties of the position.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $33.00 per hour
