Position Overview:
**Job Description**:
- Repair worn parts and welding stock material to bring back parts to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications
- Fit sub-assemblies and assemblies together and prepare for welding
- Lay out, cut and form metal to specifications
- Fully Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
- Able to operate manual or semi-automatic flame cutting equipment
- Operate brazing and soldering equipment
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Ticket is required
- Previous on-the-job training such as Mig welding and Tig welding
- Previous experience with Heavy Equipment repairs an asset
- You are able to work indoors with noise, vibrations and other hazards that are common to the job
- You are able to work in uncomfortable or unusual positions at times
- You have the ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Strong Attention to detail
- Ability to lift and handle material weighing up to 40 lbs
Note:
- This posting is for a static day shift scheduled Monday-Thursday; 10 hours per day
- Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
- Hourly Rate: $34.18 - $48.58 / Hour
Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
