Vacancy Summary
**Location**: St. Lawrence School - Vancouver, BC
**Position**: Full time (1.0 FTE) Teaching Position - Senior High School (grades 10-12) English and Social Studies Curriculum
**Compensation Package**: ($53,000 - $72,000)
**Start Date**: Classes begin in February 2025, following teacher orientation in late January 2025

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, with internal and external community members.
Understanding of other cultures and the ability to communicate in cross-cultural environments.
Ability to be tactful, demonstrate excellent judgment and work as a positive and collaborative team member.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, teachers, parents, staff and community members.
Ability to identify and assist students with emotional and other health concerns.
Enthusiastic, energetic, a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Well-organized, with the ability to meet deadlines.
A willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures.
Enjoy leadership in extra-curricular student-based activities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other educational technology.

Relevant special interests or activities for which afterschool club leadership could be considered.
As a condition of employment, applicants must provide and maintain a clear criminal record check, including a satisfactory Vulnerable Persons Screening Report.
