**Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator (On-site, 35 hours a week)**

Reporting to the VP Human Resources, we are looking for a team player who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and explore creative and innovative solutions to problems. The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Canadian payroll function. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for recruitment strategies in finding ways to attract, select, and retain top talent.

**Responsibilities (Payroll & Benefits 50%)**:

- Act as a Business Partner for our payroll department on a bi-weekly basis for several of our Brands
- Update HR / Payroll information for new hires, terminations, and other employee changes for one of our Brands
- Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions for several of our Brands
- Ensure company compliance with applicable payroll legislation - for one of our Brands
- Liaise with auditors for one of our Brands

**Responsibilities (HR 50%)**:

- Coordinate employee recruitment, orientation, retention and engagement initiatives
- Becoming a trusted Talent Acquisition partner for all of our Brands
- Identifying future hiring needs and developing job descriptions and specifications.
- Collaborating with department managers to compile a consistent list of requirements.
- Sorting through applicants to fill open positions.
- Assessing applicants' knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
- Promoting the company's reputation and attractiveness as a good employment opportunity.
- Providing recruitment reports to team managers.
- Performing other related tasks as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 1 year previous experience in a payroll capacity (ADP WFN an asset)
- Perfectly bilingual in English and French.
- The ability to design and implement recruiting strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and detail oriented.
- Good interpersonal and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality
- An action orientated mind-set, always willing to do what’s necessary to get the work done
