**About TAF Contracting**
TAF Contracting is a trusted Canadian general contractor specializing in commercial construction, with a strong focus on the retail, medical, and quick-serve restaurant industries across Ontario. Our reputation for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget has positioned us as a leader in the field. At TAF Contracting, we pride ourselves on our collaborative team culture, dedication to client satisfaction, and innovative approach to construction management. We are looking for a motivated and experienced **Project Coordinator** to join our progressive team and contribute to the continued success of our diverse and exciting projects.
**The Role**
As a **Project Coordinator** with us, you'll be an essential part of the team, helping bring projects to life while ensuring everything runs smoothly. This role is perfect for someone who’s proactive, detail-oriented, and loves working in a fast-paced environment. If you have at least 2-3 years of experience in commercial construction and enjoy the challenge of juggling multiple tasks while keeping everything organized, we’d love to meet you.
You’ll work closely with project managers, clients, contractors, and suppliers to make sure every project stays on track. From helping to create schedules and budgets to handling communication and documentation, your role will touch nearly every part of a project’s lifecycle. You’ll be the one keeping everything moving forward, solving problems as they come up, and making sure no detail gets overlooked.
**What You’ll Do**
**1. Coordinate Project Logistics**
You’ll work side-by-side with the project team to keep things on schedule, ensuring that all the right people, materials, and equipment are in the right place at the right time. Every day will be a new challenge, whether it’s resolving a scheduling conflict or adjusting to a change in project scope.
**2. Help Manage Budgets & Costs**
Working closely with the Project Manager, you'll help track project expenses and make sure costs stay within budget. You’ll also assist in creating budget forecasts, helping to ensure we deliver on financial commitments to our clients.
**3. Communicate Across Teams**
Clear communication is key. You’ll be the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring everyone stays on the same page. Whether it’s sharing project updates or coordinating responses to client requests, you’ll be at the heart of the conversation.
**4. Keep Everything Documented**
From contracts to change orders, you’ll help manage all project documentation, making sure that every detail is recorded accurately and on time. You’ll ensure that all permits, approvals, and contracts are in place so that the project can run smoothly.
**5. Ensure Quality & Safety**
You’ll make sure that the project meets our high standards of quality and safety. Working alongside the project manager and safety team, you'll ensure that all work complies with safety regulations and construction codes. You’ll also monitor the work being done on-site to ensure that everything is built to specification.
**6. Support Estimating & Bidding**
Your expertise will also support our estimating team. You’ll help gather quotes, review proposals, and assist with bid preparation to ensure our proposals are accurate and competitive.
**What We’re Looking For**
- **Experience**: You’ve been working in commercial construction for at least 2-3 years and have a solid understanding of project coordination, budgeting, and scheduling.
- **Education**: A background in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is ideal. If not, relevant experience will work just fine.
- **Skills**: You’re comfortable using construction management software like Procore, Buildertrend, or similar tools, and you’re proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- **Communication**: You can communicate effectively with people at all levels, from clients to subcontractors to team members.
- **Problem-Solving**: You have a knack for anticipating potential issues and finding creative ways to keep the project on track.
- **Attention to Detail**: You take pride in keeping things organized and ensuring no detail is missed, especially when it comes to budgets, schedules, and documentation.
**TAF Contracting Working Environment**
At TAF Contracting, we believe that a positive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment is key to our success. Our team is composed of individuals who are passionate about construction and dedicated to delivering exceptional results. We provide a supportive atmosphere where innovation, creativity, and personal development are encouraged. As a part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, from retail spaces to healthcare facilities, making a tangible impact in the communities we serve.
We value work-life balance and offer competitive compensation packages, as well as
