Delivery Services Manager

Abbotsford, Canada ABC Supply Co. Full time

**Specific duties may include**:

- Ensuring complete on-time deliveries (Fulfilling the Make-it-Easy Promise)
- Resolving customer delivery issues and answering all delivery related questions
- Scheduling and routing product deliveries
- Assessing job site delivery requirements and assigning appropriate delivery vehicles
- Keeping customers informed of delivery status
- Making sure trucks are not overloaded and that all loads fall within standard weight limits for each vehicle
- Resolving all vehicle safety issues by routing vehicles to the appropriate service facilities for needed repairs
- Participating in the hiring of drivers, as well as their performance management
- Coordinating fleet maintenance and ensuring all repairs are completed properly
- Assisting in accident and/or damage investigations ad claims
- Ensure/maintain compliance with all DOT regulations such as, quarterly DOT inspections, DVIR’s, and hours-of-service regulations
- E-mailing delivery photos to customers as needed
- Ensuring appropriate Delivery Driver coverage
- Providing support to management
- Generating sales orders and sales documents

**Specific qualifications include**:

- Proven leadership experience
- Diplomatic decision making
- Conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple service needs simultaneously
- Previous dispatch experience is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
