Shop Foreman

We have a great opportunity at South Centre Volkswagen for a Shop Foreman to join our team Reporting to and working closely with the Service Manager, the Shop Foreman will be responsible for the overall productivity and quality of the entire Service department. This includes technical service supervision and guidance, customer service/quality control administration, warranty and repair management and shop safety assurance. **Responsibilities include (but not limited to)**: - Coordination of staffing schedules. - Conducting and documenting developmental assessment meetings. - Providing input regarding disciplining, terminating and hiring shop employees. - Training of all Repair Facility staff including apprentice development - Performing routine line audits. - Assisting in developing and implementing safety and training programs. - Assessing and managing Shop Comebacks. - Dealing with customer disputes. - Verifying and confirming the completion of road tests. - Managing all warranty and retail repairs. - Liaising with various automotive manufacturers. **Qualifications**: - Must be a Journeyman Red Seal - Excellent communication skills, both in writing and in person - A valid AB driver’s license and a clean and current driver’s abstract **About the Benefits** - We have an outstanding benefits package for our employees and their families, including extended health coverage, prescriptions, dental, travel insurance, life and disability insurance - Additionally, we offer an Employee Assistance Program with resources including, Financial Advisory Services, Nutritional Counselling, Legal Advisory Services, Counselling Services, fitness program, and more - Wood Automotive recognizes that a healthy lifestyle is an essential part of personal, family and workplace well-being.
