**Our Story**:Bar Down Bakery was started by a local brother and sister team that wanted to find a way to give back to their community in the sweetest way possible. Lightly themed after hockey, we proudly donate a percentage to KidSport Vancouver, a local charity that helps children and youth to participate in sports when their families face financial barriers. We specialize in offering our BIG, gourmet brookies, our very popular cronuts and an expansive line of other pastries and breads.

As a community-forward small business, we are looking for someone who sees our market booth as _more _than just a booth, but rather a place for connecting over a shared love of delicious desserts

**Compensation**:
$17.85 + a percentage of sales commission

**Schedule**:

- Shifts are primarily on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays due to the nature of pop-up markets.
- There are opportunities for weekday afternoon shifts, as some markets operate mid-week.

**Responsibilities and General Job Description**:

- Set up the booth at the market in the predetermined layout
- Interact with and educate customers about our brand’s story
- Engage in sales efforts
- Taking down the booth at the end of the market
- Offering customer service that goes above and beyond
- Ensuring that the market display remains visually pleasing
- Complete end-of-shift reports

**Requirements**:

- Must be available to work weekends.
- Must have a positive attitude, self-motivated and offers excellent customer service
- Must be reliable and consistent
- Must have reliable transportation to get to work

**‘Bonus Marks’**:

- Have your Food Safe Level 1 (or be willing to obtain it)
- Have previous knowledge about baking
- Have access to a personal vehicle, with preference to a larger vehicle (SUV, etc)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
