Avant is an Atlassian Solution Partner, providing a full range of professional services supporting the full Atlassian stack including license sales, configuration & setup, managed hosting, data migration and custom plugin development.

**The Job**:
We are seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join either our Winnipeg or Toronto offices as a Senior Atlassian (Jira) Consultant.

You will lead the end to end development of systems integration solutions using the Atlassian stack. This includes requirements, design/architecture, configuration, customization, as well as custom development.

Projects vary from short term advisory engagements to long term, multi-product implementations. They can span a broad range of operational departments, involving both technical and non-technical teams, often with multiple key stakeholders. For this reason, strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical customers is critical to the success of projects. We are looking for the right team member to join our growing Atlassian consultancy that has solid experience, superior interpersonal skills, and the drive, creativity and passion to make each project a success.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with customer stakeholders to discover and document the business and subsequent system requirements
- Define and build effective solutions that utilize the Atlassian tools to meet client expectations and business requirements
- Provide expert advise on use of the Atlassian Toolset
- Implement client processes, solutions, and develop documentation

**Qualifications**:

- A university degree or college diploma in the computer sciences, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with Atlassian software, including Jira Core, Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo is considered an asset.
- 5 - 10 years experience with SLDC/ALM, ITSM, and/or building & delivering software Business Solutions.
- Outstanding interpersonal and verbal communication skills and like working closely with customers in highly collaborative settings.
- Excellent written skills
- Ability to think critically and creatively
- Strong attention to detail
- A passion for software, development tools, development processes & methodologies, ITSM, and most importantly, a passion for working with and helping customers achieve their goals.
