**Associate Finance Analyst**

**Responsibilities**

The Associate Finance Analyst is part of a team assigned the following responsibilities:

- Complete daily production and cheque balancing, resolving routine issues and escalating complex issues for management’s attention
- Compile data from various sources and accurately record activity in the company’s accounting and investment information systems to support timely report preparation.
- Completes complex bank and account reconciliations, collaborates with other departments to follow up on discrepancies and other outstanding items.
- Support the cash management function to ensure accurate cash reporting, and adequate cash positions.
- Support and coordinate corporate banking services and accounts payable processes ensuring all disbursements are made in an accurate, timely and controlled manner.
- Responds to inquiries from other business units and explains corporate policies and procedures
- Participate in projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Provide back up to the team and support other business units as required.

**Skills/ Knowledge/ Education**Ability to think logically, analyze and solve problems.- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks.- Strong attention to detail required.- Good communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to collaborate and build relationships- 2-3 + years of accounting, accounts payable or reconciliation experience.- Intermediate Microsoft Excel competency.

**Working Conditions**Office environment.- Prolonged periods of concentration and attention to detail.- Prolonged periods of sitting while using a computer and/or telephone.- Business hours may vary based on current and future service needs.
