Ice Patch Hollow Indoor Playground is currently seeking a Weekend Assistant Manager to manage the weekend team. The job requirements would be both Saturdays and Sundays permanently.

We are looking for a team player who is customer focused, able to keep their head up in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment and who understand the importance of an amazing family experience when visiting our playground
Reporting directly to the offsite Manager the assistant manager will be responsible for organizing and ensuring that the business runs smoothly and everything is cared and look after.

Responsibilities will include:

- greeting guests in a timely fashion, determining their needs and taking their payments for tickets and snack bar items.
- ensuring parties run smoothly and that party rooms are properly cleaned in anticipation of the next parties scheduled.
- staff scheduling for Saturday and Sunday
- ensuring that the snack bar area is kept clean and organized and that stock is replenished as needed.
- checking in with guests regarding their experience
- explaining and enforcing the playground rules for all areas to our guests.
- ensuring that all areas of Ice Patch Hollow are kept clean and tidy.
- 2 years of experience working in a customer service position, retail (food or coffee industry preferred), daycare or similar experience working with children.
- 1 year of experience in a supervisorial or management type role.
- Completion of or enrollment in an approved college diploma program in early childhood education (ECE) would be an asset
- Certifications in First aid, Food handling, WHMIS, and CPR would also be an asset.
- Experience working with a POS system and cash till would be an asset

- must be flexible to tasks in a very fast-paced, loud and quickly changing environment
- must be highly organized with effective time management skills
- ability to work under pressure and both independently and as part of a team

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Weekends only

- Bedford, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Retail management: 1 year (preferred)
