We are currently seeking an energetic and collaborative individual to join our team as an
**Advisor** in Strategic Policy to support work related to the energy transition and innovation.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who likes intellectually challenging work in a collaborative environment that fosters innovation and creativity. In this role, you will support the development and implementation of policy options to enhance the OEB’s overall regulatory framework in order to keep pace with a changing energy sector. You will provide analysis and decision support to Strategic Policy and other Business Units. This position reports to the Director, Strategic Policy.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct and facilitate policy research, including evaluating and analyzing policy options and their implications on the natural gas and electricity sectors
- Prepare reports and briefing materials for senior management
- Prepare materials to solicit stakeholder feedback through meetings, engagement and consultations with the sector
- Develop policy options by supporting team stakeholder consultations, managing consultants and assisting project teams
- Monitor the energy and regulatory policy environment in Ontario and other jurisdictions
- Build relationships with energy stakeholders, other commissions, and industry associations to exchange information

Qualifications:

- Undergraduate degree in economics, public policy, commerce, law or a related discipline
- Graduate degree or professional designation in economics, public administration, law or a related discipline is preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in strategic policy research, policy development, analysis or related energy industry work
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment where different opinions and perspectives have to be managed, negotiated and resolved diplomatically
- Experience working within a regulated industry, regulatory body and/or public utility is preferred
- Experience in drafting, organizing and editing comprehensive, complex and formal reports
- Highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience in delivering reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of Ontario’s energy sector is strongly preferred
