WAGE RATE: AS PER THE COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT

CLASSIFICATION**: Part time Dishwasher, 15-50 hours scheduled bi-weekly

Qualifications**:
Must be reasonably available, for shifts scheduled days & evenings during weekdays and weekends.

Must have a pleasant and outgoing demeanor and good personal hygiene. Works well as a team member.

Must have 1 year of experience as a Cleaner/Dishwasher in a high volume dining establishment.

Must have Food Handling Sanitation and Safety Certification.

Must have good oral and written English communication skills

Must be able to complete entire shift standing.

Must be able to repeatedly bend, turn, push and pull during shift.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.

Able to work under stress in a busy kitchen under hot, humid conditions.

Must be able to safely operate kitchen equipment including the Hobart Dish Machine.

Must be able to operate all kitchen equipment, understand and follow policies and procedures as set out by Verve as well as Legislated Standards (i.e. Food Premises Regulations).

Past Performance, attendance and availability will be assessed and included in the screening process.

Satisfactory police check and photo identification (Passport, OHIP) is mandatory - Must be received by Hazelton Place prior to hiring date.

Job Duties**:
Cleaning of dietary equipment, kitchen, dishwashing area and garbage disposal.

The receiving and putting away of grocery orders -following the proper “first in/first out” procedures/

Understand and adhere to regulations pertaining to Food Handling Sanitation & Safety and the Food Premises Regulations.

Operation of kitchen equipment, including the Hobart Dish Machine.

Comply with, monitor and daily report Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (ie: Temperature recording).

All other duties as outlined in the job duty outline, job responsibilities outline and as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
