Willow Lodge, Home for Special Care is a 61-bed nursing home nestled in the quaint village of Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. We are a vibrant active community and are currently seeking an **_HR Generalist._**

**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the HR Generalist is responsible for the comprehensive delivery of human resource functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, assisting with compensation and benefits administration, and general HR management. This role plays a key part in supporting Willow Lodges leadership team and fostering a healthy, respectful, and productive work environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsibilities for recruitment and onboarding efforts to attract and retain qualified staff.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations, performance management, and HR policies.
- Assist with employee programs and services including reporting and compliance and payroll support.
- Maintain HR records, systems, and data integrity in accordance with privacy and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to support organizational planning and workforce development.
- Support WL’s Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) program in compliance with provincial legislation and internal policies, including employee return to work programs.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- CHRP designation or working toward certification is considered an asset.
- A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in healthcare.
- Strong understanding of employment standards, OH&S regulations, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and modern HR tools.
