We are currently hiring a **Program Coordinator **to join our Programs & Student Success department. Reporting to the Manager, Student Success, the Program Coordinator will provide administrative and logístical support to the Student Success mentorship team and support the department’s initiatives. The role will coordinate the planning and delivery of virtual and in-person mentorship events, and the development of online resources for program participants. The Coordinator will also bridge initiatives between departments to ensure success.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Supports the planning and delivery of annual Rivers to Success mentorship events, both virtual and in-person.
- Manages the logístical, tactical and support production of events and activities related to student mentorship.
- Coordinates advisory and other related committees.
- Supports development and distribution of materials.
- Contributes to the development of both internal and external resources for Indigenous post-secondary students, including webinars.
- Tracks and reports on metrics regarding the evaluation of program data related to KPIs etc.
- Uses social media platforms to grow network and supports (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter) as means for recruitment.
- Manages administrative responsibilities that relate to setting up speakers, negotiating and/or determining honorarium amounts, gifting and completing all necessary paperwork, documentation, and reporting, including financial processes.
- Provides support on departmental projects, including preparing meeting agendas, transcribing meeting minutes, updating and maintaining project plans/timelines, and other related activities.
- Supports data entry/maintenance of online mentorship portal.
- Supports Indspire’s outreach activities to promote the program and recruit new mentees and mentors.
- Assists with program registration and working with program participants to support them.
**Qualifications**:
- College diploma in a related field and/or equivalent experience.
- Progressive experience with 2+ years of experience in a similar environment
- Project management, coordination and resource development are considered strong assets.
- Strong event coordination and logistics skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of and experience in Indigenous communities essential, preferably with Indigenous youth.
- Demonstrated openness to learning and willingness to engage in cultural competency training.
- Excellent organization and time management skills with requisite attention to detail and ability to balance priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, the ability to work with all levels of staff and external individuals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and database systems, ability to learn new software and programs quickly.
- Experience and interest in working with students are considered an asset.
- Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Other duties as assigned.
