**Accounting Clerk**

**Payroll**
- Calculate and process semi-monthly staff payroll
- Manage employee holiday records, timesheets, and benefits
- Process and file ROEs, payroll tax, and WorkSafeBC remittances
- File T4s
- Maintain and update staff records
- Ensures compliance with relevant employment standards and internal policies

**Accounts Payable**
- Review supplier invoices for accurate coding, approvals, and taxes
- Reconcile supplier’s statement of accounts
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments regarding invoice details and payment status
- Keep track of restaurant inventory
- Issue monthly AP cheques and direct deposit payments
- Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end reports
- Calculate and reconcile intercompany purchases and transfers
- Maintain AP files and records
- General administrative duties such as handling telephone calls and filing
- Assistance with other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese
- Minimum 1 year of Payroll and Accounts Payable experience
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word and other computerized programs
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to effectively manage deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work both independently and on teams

Salary commensurate with experience. Comprehensive group health benefit plan available.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$44,000.00 per year
