**ASSISTANT MANAGER - RESTAURANT**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Assistant Manager will work with the Restaurant Manager and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the store. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager. The Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service throughout the store. You will be a role model, leader and must solve problems, make informed decisions and manage the workforce and time wisely in order to achieve maximum results.

you will be hired and trained on teh entry level CSR for 2 weeks.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with effective and profitable operation of restaurant location.
- Assist Restaurant Manager with daily operations of casual dining restaurant with up to 30 to 40 staff per shift.
- Assist in the recruitment and hiring of the most qualified applicants to meet the restaurant's needs.
- Providing highest level of Customer Service including Handling Customer service issues at location level.
- Conduct orientation, train and coach all Customer Service Employees in execution of daily tasks.
- Supervise Department Heads including Head Chefs and Head Bakers for execution of daily tasks.
- Manage staffing and scheduling of the workforce with particular emphasis in areas such as customer service, cashiers, receiving, and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with payroll budgets.
- Review operational reports and records to ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures.
- Monitor the accuracy of receiving, transfers, debits/damages, and charge-backs to headquarters to maintain the accuracy of the inventory.
- Responsible for Inventory control at store level.
- Help solve problems that affect the store's service, efficiency, and productivity.
- Reports any incidents or issues immediately to his/her Manager or Regional Manager.
- Supervise security of store.
- Provide and inspire outstanding service to our customers.
- Exercise judgment and discretion in conjunction with, the Department Heads in the day-to-day operations of the store.
- Assist Restaurant Manager with vendor orders at store level.
- Assist Restaurant Manager with all other functions as requested.
- Reports to Restaurant Manager.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum of three years of experience in hospitality/restaurant management related field an asset.
- College Diploma in relevant field an asset.
- Ability to work a full-time schedule to manage the store including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience in Restaurant Industry preferred.
- Ability to manage a fast-paced restaurant facility handling multi-million dollar sales volume per year.
- Cost management and marketing skills applicable to restaurant operation..
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills.
- Ability to develop and train workforce, build relationships and utilize skills of workforce most appropriately.
- Identifying opportunities to maximize revenues and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teammates to ensure good operating practices and procedures are adhered to. This includes Safe Food handling procedures and proper product rotation.
- Provide Team leadership and coaching to teammates and staff performance appraisals.
- Ensuring teammates are given the appropriate on-the-job training and direction in executing brand products.
- Organization of store office documents/licenses as per operating location.
- Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to coordinate operation of all equipment necessary to run the store effectively.
- Knowledge of Provincial Health & Safety/WSIB Procedures required for operation of restaurant business.
- Excellent people skills and Superb Customer Service Skills.

**Salary**: $25.00 per hour
