**The Stó:lō Service Agency (SSA)**is seeking a **Part-Time Stó:lō Elders Lodge (SEL) Manager to provide Maternity Leave (one year term) coverage.** Under the direction of the Associate Health Directors and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, this position oversees the care and services to residents and their families utilizing a client and family-centred model of care. Guided by the SSA’s vision, mission, and values, and in accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards and Code of Ethics, the Manager ensures high-quality care provided in a “Good Way”, operational excellence, and the promotion of cultural safety within the Lodge.

The SEL Manager provides leadership in all aspects of lodge operations, including staff supervision, resident care, and program development. The SEL Manager supports the delivery of safe, respectful, and culturally grounded services, and promote residents’ physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Key responsibilities include overseeing staffing and scheduling, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, coordinating cultural and community activities, and fostering a positive, team-based workplace environment.

This position reports to the Associate Directors of Health and will work out of the Stó:lō Elders Lodge in Chilliwack.

**QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS**:

- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing, Business Administration, Public Administration, Office Administration or related courses preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years supervising, recent related community nursing experience in the designated clinical area, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current Valid First Aid, CPR & AED certification.
- Completion of the Safe Food Handling Course and WHMIS are an asset.
- Familiarity with Assisted Living Health and Safety Standards.
- Sound judgment in both routine and urgent situations; proactive in addressing operational challenges.
- Knowledge of community and available resources and supports.
- Ability to build relationships with Elders, families, knowledge keepers, and community members.
- Clear, respectful communication with residents, families, staff, and community partners.
- Strong ability to guide, mentor, and support staff in a respectful, team-based environment.
- Experience with mentoring or training staff.
- Strong time management, coordination, and ability to adapt.
- Excellent computer and internet skills. (MS Office)
- Strong ability to champion tenants’ rights of privacy and confidentiality and have a proven ability to handle and store confidential information.
- Integrity and humility, and a strong desire to represent the agency in a healthy and respectful manner.
- Ability to follow applicable policy, procedures, codes of ethics and mission statements.
- Ability to accept individual uniqueness and respect diversity: ancestry, race, ethnicity, language, religions, marital status, gender, sexual orientation, age, abilities, and social-economic status.
- Physically able to perform the duties of the position.
- Knowledge and appreciation of working in service of Truth and Reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples and communities.
- Proof of education documentation and/or Licensing information if applicable.
- Must hold and maintain a valid Class 5 BC Drivers’ License
- Must successfully pass Criminal Records Check.
- Ability to work evening and weekends as needed.

**SALARY RANGE**: Starting at $38.00 per hour, based on qualifications/experience.
