Ashbury College is seeking an Assistant Head of Junior School to assist the Head of Junior school with the overall delivery of our academic, co-curricular, and personal development programs. Championing the schools themes of Honesty, Courage, and Kindness, you will co-lead a team of enthusiastic faculty and staff, ensuring that each of our 195 students enrolled in grades 4 8 is encouraged to learn and to grow. Your key responsibilities will include: Scheduling: Oversee the Junior School schedule, including timetable development, calendar updates, and program evaluation to ensure continuous improvement.
**Student Life**: Organize and coordinate the co-curricular program including clubs, sports and after-school activities, promote the character education program, and address the academic, behavioural, and emotional needs of students. Faculty Leadership: Assist in hiring, onboarding, and professional development of faculty, while offering ongoing mentorship and formal evaluations for teachers. Parent Engagement: Facilitate communication with parents, including updates on student progress and participation in the admissions process. School Operations: Organize events, assist with planning field trips and overnight trips, while maintaining an annual teaching course load of up to two classes.
