This is an individual contributor role supporting the overall global procurement projects for NFP. As we continue to grow, there will be a need to add direct reports in the future.
**COVID-19 Update**: Please note in some locations we’ve activated hybrid plans. Standard operating hours generally remain intact for offices in these environments. This role is tied to our Downtown Toronto, ON office.
**What You’ll Do**
- Work with SVP Procurement to direct, define, and implement category management strategies that achieve cost savings
- Set the procurement process, policies, and guidelines, to be shared with regions/offices, including continuous improvements and operational efficiencies
- Proactively improve quality and service levels by identifying opportunity areas such as product/services standardization and supplier consolidation
- Align regional and global organizational systems to maximize achievement of sourcing objectives and strengthen global implementation
- Set up regular cadence with key partners to review and prioritize procurement project pipeline
- Ensure procurement costs are being appropriately booked
- Direct the negotiation of highly complex, global, strategic supplier alliances encompassing multiple channel partners and multi-agency collaborations
- Evaluate and recommend strategic opportunities/initiatives to Strategic Sourcing leadership utilizing current and emerging business models; assessing short-term and long-term industry market trends.
- Assist in the management RFI/RFQ/RFPs lifecycle which includes the creation and facilitation of the entire process, through vendor evaluations and vendor selection.
**What You Bring**:
- Post-secondary education, with a focus on legal, business, accounting, or similar discipline
- Typically, 5+ years of experience in global procurement and/or category management in the financial services industry
- Strong focus on excellent client service, ability to work calmly under pressure, and go above and beyond requirements. Proven ability to influence key stakeholders in setting strategic direction and approach to implementation
- Superior negotiation skills including negotiation strategy development and successful execution of strategy
- Specific procurement experience required with MSAs, SOWs, and SLAs
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time and source various, complex categories
- Excellent skills in internal and external stakeholder management including:
- Supplier management skills including the ability to develop and manage business-driven supplier C-Level executive relationships
- Ability to develop relationships with senior leaders and influence business stakeholders to adopt improved sourcing methods and process compliance.
- Analytically minded, able to visualize, conceptualize and solve problems.
- Strong attention to detail in the preparation of oral and written presentations for use in decision-making by the executive management team.
- Global Travel Required: 5-15%
