The **Manager - Operations Asset** is responsible for the operational, financial and administrative management of the commercial and sales fleet. This role ensures compliance with applicable regulations, maintains key processes and documentation, and manages relationships with external partners and consultants. The position focuses on process ownership, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement safety SOP’s and training to mitigate all incidents
- Drive modernization through telematics, cameras and diligence on emerging trends
- Collaborate on Fleet sizing to determine required classifications by region and maximum cube utilization
- Ensure preventative maintenance program adherence
- Work with Sourcing department on procurement
- Develop and manage direct reports
- Manage transponder (toll) programs, ensuring proper procedures (SOPs) are maintained and user training is provided.
- Prepare and present monthly fleet performance metrics.
- Maintain and update fleet-related SOPs annually to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor regulatory changes in partnership with external consultants to ensure compliance across all provinces.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits related to fleet and heavy vehicle compliance.
- Collaborate with legal teams to manage and challenge heavy vehicle fines and penalties when applicable.
- Maintain and renew required certifications and documentation for heavy vehicles.
- Ensure fleet records, including vehicle compliance documentation, are up to date and properly archived.
- Organize and schedule annual driver and manager training sessions to ensure operational readiness before peak seasons.
- Serve as the main point of contact for heavy vehicle compliance consultants and insurance partners.
- Maintain strong working relationships with legal advisors, auditors, and other external service providers supporting fleet operations.

**Success Factors**
- 5 years of experience in distribution and logistics
- Knowledge of transportation and heavy vehicle compliance regulations (asset)
- Strong attention to detail and administrative rigour
- Strong organizational and process management skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage external relationships
- Proficient in Excel and fleet management systems (asset)
