**Regional Manager (Business Consultant)**
**About Massage Addict**:Massage Addict is a Canadian owned and operated franchised company. With over 125 clinics across the country and over 2,000 Registered Massage Therapists, Registered Acupuncturists, Certified Reflexologists and Chiropractors, we provide over 100,000 treatments each month to manage pain, stress, anxiety, injury, muscle tension, and much more. Since opening the first clinic in 2008, Massage Addict has been helping clients improve their health through high-quality therapeutic treatments that’s both affordable and convenient.
**Job Summary**
The **Franchise** **Business Consultant** is a core member of the Operations Team and reports to the Director of Operations. They are responsible for the support, performance management and communication with franchise partners across Central & Eastern Canada. This role requires travel of approximately 5 business days per month to complete clinic visits and to support openings. The balance of the Franchise Business Consultant’s time will be working out of their home office. This position will be based out of the **Greater Halifax Area**.
**Performance Outcomes**
The Franchise Business Consultant is primarily responsible for mentoring, guiding and supporting franchise partners to be successful, growth driven and supportive of our joint Vision and Mission statement. In addition, the Business Consultant will build and foster positive relationships with their franchisees, act as an effective communication and support link with Massage Addict head office and ensure compliance with the Franchise Agreement.
The Franchise Business Consultant is also involved in the further development of structured systems to improve our operational platform to ensure continued success and growth across Canada.
**Deliverables**
- Support an engaging, trusting and mutually beneficial relationship between the franchisee and the franchisor.
- Positively grow sales with their assigned clinics.
- Perform financial analysis and planning with your assigned franchisees.
- Committed to franchisees and clinics meeting Massage Addict Operational Excellence Review standards and best practices while delivering on our Mission & Vision.
- Visit clinics to complete Operational Excellence Reviews to assess operating standards.
- Initiate action plans and follow up visits to remedy issues pertaining to Operational Excellence Reviews
- Where needed, support franchisee training and development.
- Strategically support assigned clinics to perform local store marketing plans and initiatives.
- As necessary, coordinate, attend and support regional marketing events to support brand awareness.
- Coordinate, as required, the execution of national marketing programs.
- Propose and support the implementation of approved system wide operational initiatives.
- Support franchisees with an effective recruitment and retention strategy for therapists and other team members.
- Coordinate franchisee attendance for job fairs, and other school, College and Association events. Attend these events when required as the Massage Addict representative.
- Ensure clinics abide by all regulations, by college, association and the health care insurance companies.
- Participate and support new clinic openings as directed.
- Maintain a high level of communication between the head office and each franchisee on a weekly basis.
- Communicate feedback from franchisees and other relevant information to the appropriate Massage Addict head office staff.
- Liaise and closely work with other departments in supporting franchisees.
- Assess that all clinics are providing exceptional customer service and continually employing the Massage Addict business system properly and effectively.
- Develop an acute understanding of the massage therapy profession and other services offered including but not limited to, all regulations, by college, various provincial associations and the Insurance companies
- Ensure all clinics are committed to operating in a safe environment.
- Attend and participate in Massage Addict’s annual franchise and/or regional conferences as required.
**Skills and Experience**
- At least 3 years of multi-unit management experience with at least one year being in a franchised environment.
- A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in an operations role.
- At least 3 years of experience in a management position with a recognizable brand.
- Experience in successfully managing new location openings.
- Proven ability to effectively complete field audits.
- Experience in developing strategies to increase sales in local markets.
- Training and coaching experience is an asset.
**Education and Qualifications**
- Proven knowledge of health and safety standards.
- Advanced working knowledge of computer software platforms such as Microsoft Office.
