**Van Isle Windows Ltd**. is Vancouver Island’s leading window manufacturer, creating beautifully designed custom made energy efficient vinyl windows and patio doors. Since 1978 we have been providing our customers with both custom manufactured and installed products across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

We're looking for up to 3 individuals with knowledge and experience in either construction, carpentry and/or Window and Door installations to work out of our Victoria location. We're also looking for less experienced installation helpers/labourers who have an aptitude for using hand and power tools, and who are ready, willing, and able to learn.

Working in our Installation department, your work site location and scope of work varies almost daily. Every job is different, as are some of the installation methods, so this job is both fun and challenging all at the same time. It offers lots of variety, and requires a person with a positive attitude, ability to give meaningful and constructive feedback and direction, be a strong mentor and can motivate their crew.

With these positions, you are on the tools working along side your team in the homes of our customers, installing our various product offerings including interaction with our residential customers. You are good with your hands, creative, and can think on your feet and outside the box. You are precise and accurate in your work, have strong math skills and an eye for details. You have a valid BC Driver’s License in good standing, knowledge of materials handling and construction site safety and adhere to Best Practices. Heavy lifting and use of ladders and scaffolding occurs almost daily, so no fear of heights is tolerable, noting safety for our employees and the public is top of mind and critical.

**Other things you'll want to know**:

- The Installation Department generally runs from 7:00am to 3:30pm, noting hours can vary, depending on the project and scope of work
- We work Monday to Friday, but occasional weekend work is sometimes necessary, as well as working on the Gulf Islands
- Daily overtime is paid as is double time when it applies
- Probationary period of 3 months
- This position reports to our Installation Manager

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
