Position: Journeyperson Instrument Technician
Locations: Rocky Mountain House
Position Type: Full-Time
Compensation Package:
Competitive Base Rate: $42.02 - $43.82 per hour, depending on experience.
Generous Vacation Pay: 10% of base rate, consisting of 6% Vacation Pay and 4% Statutory Pay.
Retirement Savings Plan (RSP): 5% of base hourly rate, calculated on base rate.
Matching RSP Program: 2% of base hourly rate, calculated on base rate.
Fully Paid Employer Benefit Program: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Annual Clothing Allowance + All required PPE provided (except for boots).

Position Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair instrumentation systems, control devices, and related equipment.
- Perform calibration, testing, and adjustments on various types of instruments.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to plan and execute instrumentation projects effectively.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in instrumentation systems and components.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential hazards, issues, or maintenance needs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for oneself and team members.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians and apprentices as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in instrumentation.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed to specifications and on time.
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyperson Instrument Technician certification or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Instrument Technician in industrial settings.
- In-depth knowledge of instrumentation systems, control loops, and PLCs.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to safety protocols and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and priorities.
- Physical capability to perform tasks in various work conditions.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
