We are looking for an Industrial Millwright internally referred to as Technician, Maintenance - Mechanical who is results-oriented to become a part of our team to support the demands of our ever-growing business

The Technician, Maintenance - Mechanical is accountable for supporting Production by installing, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment, including automation and robotics. They are responsible for maintaining all machinery and providing mechanical and electrical support to the Production group. Additionally, they perform preventative and corrective maintenance, leading to increased up-time and reliability.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
Planning and Reporting (15%)
- Prepare reports on repairs, potential equipment failure or unsafe conditions
- Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs Production (30%)
- Maintain and service machines and equipment used in the manufacturing facility
- Inspect and assess machinery to detect irregularities and malfunctions
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
- Operate machine tools to fabricate parts required for overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
- Interpret mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic blueprints or schematics and translate ideas accurately
- Collaborate with maintenance team to relocate or install stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in the plant
- Collaborate with maintenance team to exchange technical information to facilitate teamwork in troubleshooting and repair process

Line Efficiency (15%)
- Participate in the Preventative Maintenance program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines
- Problem solve line issues i.e., provide suggestions and recommendations to increase accuracy
- Determine inefficiencies and implement effective processes to increase overall line efficiency Quality Control (15%)
- Investigate, experiment and implement controls and programming changes to improve productivity and quality on an ongoing basis

Health and Safety (25%)
- Assess operating safety devices upon completion of repairs, modifications and installations to ensure proper functioning
- Oversee required inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with Ontario Electrical Standards Act and identify any hazards or issues
- Follow health and safety regulations, policies and procedures

**QUALIFICATIONS**

Education
- College Certificate or Diploma Certifications
- 443A - Certificate of Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
- Forklift Operator Training Certificate
- Aerial Lifts Training Certificate

Experience
- 3- 8 years as an Industrial Millwright
- High-volume manufacturing
- Setup and repair of automation and robotics
- Experience with trouble shooting robotics preferred

**Skills**:

- Computer proficiency - Level 5
- Hands-on technical skills, including; mechanical repair, electrical systems, pneumatic systems and PLCs
- Manual metal arc welding

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
