We are looking for a skilled and experienced baker to join our team in Ottawa. If you have a passion for creating delicious baked goods and possess the necessary skills, we'd love to hear from you.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and bake a variety of bakery products, including bread and Viennoiseries (Croissants,)
- Follow established recipes and quality standards to ensure consistent results.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels for baking ingredients.
- Keep a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines.
- Bakery Job including but not limited to scaling ingredients, proofing and baking the breads, Danish and viennoiseries, scones and other bakery/pastry items.
- Doing pastry job and supporting pastry section if needed.
- Support the counter and front house when needed.
- Frequent checking the showcase, transferring the product to front house and helping the team in refilling the showcase and shelves with the products.
- To be in close communication with front house member and support the front house is preparing and delivery of the products and exchange of information.
- Reports all customer complaints to manager on duty.
- Report any problem concerning the quality of material, inventory and stock shortage and making the list of material to be purchased.
- Answers telephone (if needed) in a courteous and friendly manner including, but not limited to, giving store greeting, directions to store location, and receiving and filling customer orders regarding the custom cakes.
- Maintains efficient, friendly service.

**Environment**:

- Transferring the ingredients from dry storage room to kitchen and restocks shelves and ingredient beans, when necessary.
- Transferring the ingredients and material when arrives from suppliers, transfer to dry storage and also to fridges/Walk-in fridge and freezer and shelves.
- Routinely cleans the Kitchen/Dry storage room/Walk-In freezer/Fridge area, floor, Mixers and Ovens and other equipment as well as washing the dishes and equipment after using and takes out trash to building garbage room as per daily cleaning schedule.
- Frequently transfer the prepared ingredients/products to/from the walk-in freezer/fridge.
- Assists in the stock taking to supervisor of weekly shipments.
- Reports potential safety hazards to the head chef/manager/supervisor on duty.
- Reports all employee accidents to the head chef/manager/supervisor on duty.
- Informs the head chef/manager on duty of any operational inconsistencies.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a baker in a bakery or similar setting.
- Knowledge of various baking techniques and methods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Maintains positive morale and professional attitude.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear.
- Frequently required to use hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly required to lift and/or move items up to 40 pounds.
- Regularly required to handle food and hot ingredient/products and work with mixers and ovens and other kitchen equipment.
- 2+ years of experience as a Baker

- Salary: From $20.00 per hour and higher

Expected hours: No more than 44 per week
