**Job Title: Accounting Clerk**
We’re growing, and to support the business, we are hiring an Accounting Clerk to join our team. Work with awesome people on a growing team. We are a small, fun, and very loyal team looking for a driven, dedicated, and hard-working individual who can join us and make an immediate impact.
**Job Summary**: _To assist the CFO in all aspects of the accounting activities of the company._
**Responsibilities associated with performing the job**:
- Assists the CFO in gathering and reporting financial and non-financial information for the monitoring of the company’s financial position and progress
- Responsible for all duties related to payroll, accounts payable & receivables (including data entry, preparing & mailing cheques and filing)
- Reconciling subledgers to the general ledger
- Support CFO with month end and year end
- Participate in budget preparation with the CFO
- Payroll administration
- Monthly bank reconciliation preparation
- Ensure the confidentiality of financial and non-financial information
- Other duties related to position as required
**Skill/Knowledge/Experience required to perform the job**:
- Completed advanced 3-year college diploma in a recognized accounting program and/or an acceptable combination of education and accounting experience.
- Minimum of three years of accounting experience
- Intermediate skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
- Advanced experience with Excel is preferred.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with a positive and professional attitude.
- Strong problem-solving skill.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure to meet frequent deadlines and conflicting demands.
- Ability to multi-task and to balance conflicting deadlines.
**To be successful in this role you will be**:
- Must have good reading, writing, computational and analytical skills to manage the payroll, accounts payroll & receivable, computerized system and controls; must be able to perform arithmetic operations quickly and accurately
- Good interpersonal skills are required to communicate effectively and clearly with suppliers and other staff members both orally and in writing; must be polite and courteous, possess tact and judgement in dealing with difficult and demanding customers
- Good organizational skills to plan and coordinate day’s activities to ensure that work is completed accurately and within deadlines

- London, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Accounting: 3 years (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 3 years (preferred)
