Our AI engine supports a self-operating building that requires no human intervention. Using deep learning, cloud-based computing, and our proprietary process, our solution autonomously optimizes existing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control systems for maximum impact on energy consumption.

An exciting opportunity awaits the right Data Analyst Measure & Verification who is great with numbers and finding ways to save energy, particularly being able to navigate complex data sets, being proficient at evaluating what’s out there, being critical and excellent communicator. Understanding software development in a company setting is needed since you will be presenting detailed energy saving results. **What you will do**
- Lead the analysis and modelling of building energy consumption data using various methods including linear regressions and other models proposed by IPMVP and ASHRAE GUIDELINE 14, as well as using energy software like Trace 3D+ to build model representations of a building.
- Supervise baseline and post-installation data collection, including trend data from building automation systems, field measurements, data loggers, and performance tests.
- Evaluate project performance risk, analyze savings calculations, interpret patterns in energy consumption data, and review final M&V plans.
- Generate annual savings reports and review those prepared by your peers.
- Communicate the results of your calculations to the relevant stakeholders.
- Provide technical assistance with ongoing review of data from energy management systems, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and energy savings analysis.
- Maintain visibility on projects and identify poorly performing projects early on to the relevant stakeholders using reports and other appropriate channels.
- Develop standard work and systems to improve quality and efficiency of internal processes.
**What you will need to be successful**
- Minimum BSME or equivalent degree in related area of study pertaining to data analysis, modelling, and general modelling: engineering, mathematics, etc.
- Background knowledge of basic HVAC principles.
- Proficiency programming in Python.
- Familiarity with R and SQL.
- Prior experience with energy software is preferred.
- Prior experience in M&V with IPMVP - ASHRAE GUIDELINE 14 is preferred.
- Possession of CEM, EMIT and/or CMVP titles is a strong asset.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle competing priorities.
- Excellent communicator. Comfortable interacting with multiple individuals from various departments to explain results and overcome obstacles.
