Junior Associate, Property Operations

The Junior Associate, Property Operations will be responsible for the day-to-day property management coordination and apartment leasing for the business as directed by the Vice President of Operations. They will provide primary support to the Vice President of Operations, and perform some general administrative duties and team support as required.

**Property Management**:

- Utilize Basecamp project management software for managing and coordinating tasks
- Conduct property walkthroughs
- Conduct fire inspection walkthroughs
- Replace batteries for key code locks and furnace filter swaps on an annual basis
- Coordinate with third-party organizations to meet at properties as needed
- Coin laundry collection

**Administration Support**:

- Collaborate with team members to reply to tenant inquiries
- Collaborate with cleaning and maintenance contractors as directed
- Follow up on tasks, work orders and scheduled repairs to ensure completion
- Deliver notices to tenants as directed
- Any other duties as requested by the Vice President of Operations

**Leasing**:

- Assist in the development, preparation, posting and management of all tenant advertising and showings to achieve leasing targets.
- Provide communications for prospective tenants prior to move in and move out
- Ensure vacant units and hallways are tidy for showings for prospective tenants
- Ensure units are completely ready for tenants to move in on the agreed upon date

**Qualifications**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be a strong team player, eager and willing contributor to team success even in areas outside of position requirements
- Time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities
- Adapt to new ideas, constant changes, and continuously seek to improve

**Education and Experience**:

- Minimum - High School Diploma (Grade 12)

**Hours of Work**:

- 30 hours per week, 4-5 days per week, within the hours of 9AM to 6PM on-site in Owen Sound
- Must be available for showings periodically after 6pm, or on weekends during peak leasing periods, and for tenant move-ins and move-outs
- Hours of work may change depending on seasonality and leasing demands

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
