Who we’re looking for

The OV Burger Bar is looking for a **Prep Chef** to grow with our business and contribute to our focused concept of being the best burger bar to the community of Prince Rupert.

This will be an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to further develop their experience in the Back Of House (BOH). In this role, you will be creating food from our in-house designed recipes to deliver a high quality product for our customers.

**The must haves**
- Back of House experience, on the line or leading the kitchen, with hot foods
- Ability to work with all levels of staff towards achieving operational excellence
- Exemplifies teamwork as a way to create a great work environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration especially during busy periods and when under pressure
- Maintain a high standard for the equipment, creating a clean and safe work environment
- Follow Standard Order of Procedures to prepare and create food
- Consistently produce a high quality food product
- Display effective prep and inventory management skills
- Ability to cater for food allergies
- Valid Food Safe Certification

**The nice to haves**
- Have an entrepreneurial mindset; identifying additional areas of support and areas of process improvement
- WHMIS certification

- Cooking: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safe Certification (required)
