**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including basic restorative, CEREC, surgery, and orthodontic treatments amongst an array of other procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. You will be one of the most important persons involved in ensuring they feel safe, heard and important
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records for the treating team, including documenting details on treatment plans, progress notes, and medical history
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient care
- Stay updated on industry advancements, health and safety matters, and new techniques

through continuing education.

**Requirements**:

- Experience is a strong desirable asset but new graduates who are highly motivated are still encouraged to apply, training and mentorship will be provided
- Proficiency in digital dental software for scheduling and record keeping. Dentrix experience an asset but not mandatory
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written a prerequisite as we are strong on conversations, educating patients, and detailed documentation
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs

We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications as well as performance based bonuses and incentives. Staff benefits packages offered plus free in office dental visits (minus lab fees) for staff and discounts to their direct family members.

This is a full-time position with the following hours:
MWF 8:00am-4:00pm

TuTh 12:00pm-8:00pm

2 Saturdays per month 8:00am-3:00pm

Pay: $27.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
