As the Clinic Lab Technician you are responsible for collecting and processing blood specimens, coordinating with external laboratories, managing health documentation, and handling appointment cancellations effectively.

In order to fulfill the tasks at hand, you’ll need to be highly experienced with this entire stack:

- Phlebotomy Services & Patient Care
- Perform venipuncture proficiently to collect blood samples_._
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during sample collection, following all protocols and procedures.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns, providing clear information about the process and post-procedure care.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and guidelines, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in blood collection and handling.
- Properly label and document specimens according to clinic and external lab protocols.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and ensure that all procedures reflect the latest standards.
- Communication & Coordination with External Labs
- Communicate effectively with external laboratories for timely processing and reporting of test results.
- Coordinate the scheduling and pick-up of collected specimens with courier services or lab partners.
- Follow up with labs on delayed or missing results, ensuring seamless service for patients.
- Health Document Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, and laboratory requisitions.
- Ensure that all health documents are securely stored and compliant with applicable regulations.
- Manage the electronic filing of test results and communicate findings to the relevant healthcare professionals as needed.
- Appointment & Cancellation Management
- Reschedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments for phlebotomy services within the clinic.
- Handle appointment cancellations and rescheduling efficiently, minimizing patient inconvenience.
- Communicate with patients regarding appointment changes or delays, ensuring they are well-informed and satisfied.

To get to know you better, it would be great if your resume can demonstrate the following experience:

- 3+ years of phlebotomy experience, ideally in a clinic or outpatient setting.
- Completion of a college certificate program in medical laboratory science.
- Demonstrates a commitment to providing compassionate care and ensuring patient satisfaction.
- Understands and adheres to all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
- Capable of communicating clearly and effectively with patients, staff, and external lab partners.
- Proactively addresses challenges in scheduling, patient care, and specimen handling.
- Works collaboratively with clinic staff and external partners to provide seamless service.
