**Join our studio crew**
We’re expanding our fitness team for the position of:
**Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga certified teacher**
Availability: Monday afternoons, occasional Saturday mornings and Monday nights
At Dragonfly Maternity, our fitness classes primarily focus on the perinatal community working with prenatal/postnatal moms & babes, therefor we're looking for an individual that is passionate about working with women in this area. We also have general flow & restore classes on our studio schedule that require occasional subbing when our team may be looking for coverage; therefor this position may involve other opportunities as well.
Our inner city location is in the north-central neighborhood of Tuxedo Park, on 20 Avenue and Centre Street North; commuting to our studio would be required. Our intimate space accommodates small groups in-person with a focus on attentive class instruction, and building community relationships in a casual + supportive environment. While our main attendance base is with our in-studio classes; we also continue to broadcast from the studio to stream our live + interactive sessions online for students who wish to attend virtually.
**Classes we are currently hiring for**:
Mom & Baby Yoga, weekly on Mondays at 1:30pm
Prenatal Yoga - occasional subbing on Mondays at 7pm and Saturdays at 9:45am (in rotation with other teachers)
Yoga teachers with active positions at our studio receive free unlimited access to classes, as well as store discounts on select products at our shop. Free street parking is available.
**Expectations of the role include**:
- cleaning tasks before & after classes (mopping floor, sanitizing props)
- opening & closing studio (preparing space for students’ arrival, securing the space after class)
- assisting students with transactions (signing in for class, selling memberships and passes, etc)
- promoting your classes (online and in-person, through various marketing & promotional offers)
- First Aid + CPR certification, insurance, and appropriate levels of Yoga certification are required. Working knowledge of Zoom is an asset (can be learned in the on-boarding process).
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
