Human Resource Associate

Experience Minimum three (3) years experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in a generalist capacity with a school board. Other Qualifications Working knowledge of relevant employment legislation (i.e. Employment Standards Act, WSIA, OHSA, MFIPPA, AODA, Human Rights Code, SBCBA, OLRA); Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced team and office environment with excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload; Strong interpersonal skills with ability to function effectively within a team, as well as with administrators, managers, staff, outside agencies and others; Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as an excellent telephone manner; Ability to maintain discretion with confidential information; Ability to interpret collective agreements, Board and department policies and procedures, and respond to related inquiries; Excellent research and analytical skills with an above average aptitude for figures with accuracy and attention to detail; Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment while coordinating and monitoring variable workloads and recognizing departmental priorities; Self-starter with an aptitude for producing timely, accurate work in a demanding and deadline oriented environment and; Have a customer service mentality and understand all you do has a larger impact that helps make our HR team and School Board excel, while creating a positive employee experience for the employees we serve.
